Mothers day

Mother’s day is an ultimate perfume gifting holiday for Philosophy. Each year the top signature scents are put together in special feminine sets for easy gifting.

The name plate became a signature add on to give the boxes more of that signature look as seen previous on the holiday collection. It also helped to save on cost since we were able to reuse die-lines. We also chose to do a spot gloss onto the affirmation words all over the box to give their tone on tone look a subtle pop that was unexpected until you looked closely at the box.

Each scent is shown visibly on the box as represented by its perspective flower/item. (amazing grace, sweet pea) New photography was coordinated with the campaign team since any sort of stock imagery we came across was not the right angle/lighting/image for the boxes. This was the first year to incorporate the “pure grace nude rose”, and “amazing grace ballet rose" in the mother’s day collection.

Holiday

The largest program for Philosophy as is most brands is holiday. It is sold in multiple retailers including Sephora, Ulta, and Macys. Most retailers had a couple of their own exclusive SKUs and even custom holiday designs unique to their assortment.

The artwork was highlighted with oversized trees filled with various icons and words of affirmation signature to the Philosophy brand. The packaging background colors help to dictate their particular categories. Red for bath and body, blue for skincare and then signature scents like amazing grace kept true to their main colors like pink. There were over 30 total SKUs in the holiday collection.

The whimsical snowflake trees were a great anchor for this fun holiday concept. Swirls and more snow drops and snowflakes visually gave movement to these fun landscapes. The philosophy at the bottom followed the shape of the unique curved cut in the window.

QVC Holiday

QVC is known for their unique configurations and frequent jumbo size offerings to their customers. Brand new logo lockups were designed for the body souffle collection, in particular pink chocolate macaroon. Other holiday and winter themed scents were apart of the jumbo collection.

Custom holiday gifting packaging was developed for easy gift giving for consumers. Two sizes of gift bags, two piece box, and tag were designed with the holiday design of the trees on the bold red background. Swirls graced the sides of the bag to give a complete 360 degree design made to stand out. This helped with quick and easy all-in-one gift giving sold in large collections to make consumers lives easier.

 

 Ulta Holiday Exclusives

Most retailers while they carry the basic line of holiday items and main category collections, most all want their own exclusive products and/or designs. Since Ulta is Philosophy’s #1 retailer they certainly got a full line of product and configurations to call their own.

While incorporating the snowflake and word trees from the original holiday designs we gave Ulta something a bit more bold and graphic with the more solid color trees throughout with the iconic Ulta pink & orange included. A fun part of the collection were the mini shower gels shown in the middle that mimicked the full sized shower gels that were offered as a quick 5 for 10$ item.

Gifts with purchase

Custom bags with custom zipper pulls and cardboard wrap, small boxes, and tags designed for various retailers for Philosophy’s gift with purchase program. The front of these items feature hero imagery and the quint essential “philosophy” for guests. The backs of the items gave an overall summary of the kits purpose but also the highlight of all products included. Small cloth bags feature mini product enamel pull tabs mimicking iconic Philosophy products.

Worked closely with the campaign team to ensure new hero imagery for the front of these featuring a strong overhead lighting to give heavy definition with the organic layout that gives heavy product shadows. This is signature to Philosophy in its clean, modern, and organic viewpoint that is routed in medical technology.
